Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Amarillo, Texas!
Amarillo, centered in the Texas panhandle, is insulated by cattle ranches, farmland, and miles of buffalo grass. The Amarillo Livestock Auction, staged every Tuesday, is among the largest in Texas. City attractions include the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, the American Quarter Horse Heritage Center & Museum, the Kwahadi Kiva Indian Museum, Amarillo Botanical Garden and the Amarillo Museum of Art. At the Big Texan Steak Ranch, Opry and Cowboy Palace, the 72-ounce steaks with trimmings are free to folks who can clean their plate in less than an hour. Amarillo has an opera season, a symphony performing since 1924, a little theater, and the Lone Star Ballet. Yet enough antiquated soft drink and gas station signs dot the town to preserve the ambiance of less hurried times. More than 50 flights arrive or depart daily from Amarillo’s Rick Husband International Airport. Given the legendary prominence of Route 66, Amarillo packs in plenty of tourist-related accommodations from inns and motels to expansive hotels to serve overnighters or anyone hankering to stay awhile.
